Kilkenny have become the latest county to return their minor grade to Under-18 competition.

At a County Board meeting tonight, delegates opted to switch from U-17 to U-18 with decoupling from adult activity coming at U-17.

Kilkenny follow Cork and a host of other counties which have opted to switch back to even numbered underage grades since national policy changed to allow counties to determine their own pathways earlier this year.

Cork are decoupling at U-18 however for senior, intermediate and premier junior competition with decoupling at U-17 for all other adult grades.
