I haven’t a great reputation for timekeeping — some people even refer to me as ‘the late Jim O’Brien’ — but I always get there.

At least I have managed it so far. There will come a time when I will be the late me, when I won’t have any more time to keep. ‘The late’ is an epithet that will attach to all our names at some stage, nothing is surer.
