Talks of a World Cup hangover have been eased around these parts, mainly because of the quality of rugby on show in the URC and the strong attendances in Ireland.

However, if you think we had it bad, spare a thought for the French, still in mourning after their dream of winning a World Cup on home soil went up in smoke.
