When I became a parent, I decided that I would be as open and honest as possible with my kids. Being very clever and wise, I would teach them about the many mistakes one can make in life by telling them about the many, many stupid decisions I made in mine.
I would be like Aesop, except instead of teaching through fables about tortoises and hares, I would explain in graphic detail why we don’t throw batteries into bonfires.
