DAVY BYRNE’S Dublin’s legendary Joycean pub is really special at Christmas. Along with their all-day menu, they also do posh sambos (€12-€20) with the option of a half portion of soup for €3 from 12-5pm. Try their prawn cocktail (€17) followed by a beef and Guinness pie (€23.50) or their fab seafood platter for two (€82). Yes, of course there’s also a roast turkey and ham dinner (€22) with stuffing, Brussels sprouts, fondant potatoes and gravy, not to mention a turkey and ham club sandwich (€17) with cranberry sauce on sourdough. davybyrnes.com
