Gender pay updates due from Friday unlikely to show progress

While gender pay gap reporting is unlikely to fundamentally alter the difference between men’s and women’s average pay, experts say it is an important step in making for more equal workplaces.

From Friday, large companies will have to reveal whether there has been any progress in closing those gaps since a first round of reports last December.
