Ciara Kelly: Are we really so far up ourselves now that we curate the type of Christmas gifts we receive?

Despite the gains of Kris Kindle, sometimes it’s the small gift that says a whole lot more

Have you started your Christmas shopping? Do you have much to get? I was listening to some chatter on the radio recently about presents and the rise of the Secret Santa/Kris Kindle phenomenon, where a group or family decides that everyone buys just one “decent” present — as it was described — for one person rather than spending a fortune on multiple small pressies.

The upside is that everyone receives less tat, it’s easier on the pocket and less time is spent traipsing around the shops or surfing websites. Time is money, people! A win-win all round.
